Your Weekly Tip

Here's something most musicians never notice about how record labels operate.

Labels promote songs, sure. But the smart ones put just as much money into building playlists.

Here's why that matters for you.

A song gets one moment to win someone over. A playlist can bring that same person back every single day.

Howwww...?

Think about how people listen.

A gym playlist gets played every workout. A sleep playlist gets played every night. A road trip playlist gets played every drive. A study playlist runs for hours at a time.

The label grows the playlist, places its own artists inside, and benefits every time someone presses play.

So instead of promoting one song to one listener, you're promoting one playlist to an audience that comes back for many songs.

The best niches share three things:

People return often, they listen for long stretches, and they don't need fresh music every week to keep playing it.

Think study beats, sleep sounds, deep focus, gym motivation, road trip songs, or coding music.

Here's the part most musicians miss.

A playlist with 10,000 followers who listen every week can be worth more than a song with 100,000 streams that everyone forgets a month later.

And it can pay you two ways.

You earn royalties from your own music living on the playlist, and you get paid by other musicians who submit their songs to you for feedback.

Sooo you get: One asset, two income streams, running quietly in the background. Pretty sweet.

If you want to start building one, here's the short version:

→ Pick a niche people return to, like study beats, sleep sounds, or gym motivation.

→ Build the playlist around that one use case, and add your own music alongside songs that fit.

→ Grow it with a few dollars a day in ads on Instagram.

→ Keep it updated so followers turn into repeat listeners, and every new follower becomes a listener for your next release.

This is the whole system I teach in my course, step by step, with screen shares. And the timing matters, because on July 1 I'm retiring it for good.

Until then, you can get lifetime access for 70% off. Follow the steps, and if your playlist still hasn't reached 1,000 followers, I'll work with you until it does.

P.S. The course comes down July 1, and the 70% goes with it, so if you've been on the fence, this is the window. And as always, if something in here clicked for you, hit reply and let me know.

P.P.S. I want to be clear: this isn't for everyone. This approach works best for musicians who already have a few songs in their catalog and are willing to play the long game. The goal is to build something that can create value far beyond streams alone.
