Your Weekly Reel Idea

When life gives you hate comments, turn them into a hit song.

πŸ“ Content Summary: In this reel, the artist sits in her living room, singing hate comments she's received as if they're heartfelt lyrics. She shows each comment as a screenshot on screen while smiling and melodically performing them, turning negativity into entertainment.

🎦 How to create a similar Reel:

  1. Collect 3-5 of your "favorite" hate comments (the more ridiculous, the better) [if you don't have hate comments yet, start posting more content - haters will show up]

  2. Film yourself in a casual setting - your bedroom, couch, or kitchen

  3. Add each comment as an overlay while you sing/read it

  4. No need to add any caption - the comments speak for themselves (:

πŸ€” Why does it work so well?

  1. People crave authenticity over perfection - In a world of polished content (and too many ads), seeing an artist openly share their hate comments feels refreshingly real.

  2. It flips the script on trolls - Instead of letting hate comments hurt you, you're literally profiting from them. Viewers love seeing bullies get their power taken away. It's therapeutic for other artists dealing with similar hate.

  3. It's brilliantly simple - No fancy hook, no complicated setup, no walls of text. Just an artist, their voice, and the comments. This simplicity makes it instantly understandable and easy to watch.

  4. It shows pure talent - By singing the comments beautifully, you're proving the haters wrong in real-time. Your voice transforms their ugliness into something beautiful, which is the ultimate flex. πŸ˜‰

Your Weekly Tip

The Problem With How Most Musicians Think About Spotify

Most musicians treat Spotify like it's the finish line.

They think: "If I can just get 10,000 streams, I've made it."

Or: "If I can just get on a big playlist, everything will change."

But here's the truth:

10,000 streams = $30-$40.

That's it. That's what you get paid.

And if those 10,000 streams came from a fake playlist or from people who will never listen to you again... you didn't build anything.

You got a number. Not a fanbase.

So Why Do I Teach You How To Grow On Spotify?

Because Spotify is a tool. And when you use it the right way, it's one of the most powerful tools you have.

Here's what I mean:

Spotify is not where you make money.

Spotify is at the top of your fan-making funnel.

When someone saves your song, adds it to their playlist, follows your profile, and keeps coming back to listen... that's a real fan.

And real fans:

  • Buy your merch
  • Come to your shows
  • Support you on Patreon
  • Stream your music for years
  • Tell their friends about you

That's where the money is.

So when I teach you how to grow on Spotify, I'm not teaching you how to chase streams.

I'm teaching you how to turn streams into fans.

The Funnel Most Musicians Don't Have

Here's the problem:

Most musicians think the funnel looks like this:

Post on social media β†’ Get streams β†’ Success

But that's not a funnel. That's just feeding your ego.

Here's what the real funnel looks like:

1. View - Someone sees your content on Instagram, TikTok, or an ad.

2. Click - They're curious enough to click your link.

3. Listen - They listen to your song on Spotify.

4. Save - They like it enough to save it or add it to their playlist.

5. Follow - They follow your profile because they want to hear more.

6. Superfan - They engage with you, buy merch, come to shows, and support you long-term.

Most musicians lose people at step 3 or 4.

They get the view. They get the click. They even get the listen.

But the listener doesn't save the song. Doesn't follow. Doesn't come back.

So the streams don't turn into fans.

And that's why you can have 100,000 streams and still feel like you're getting nowhere.

How To Turn 100 Views Into 10 Real Fans

Let me give you some actionable tips to fix each stage of the funnel:

Stage 1: View β†’ Click

Your content needs a hook. Not just "new song out" - but something that makes people curious.

Examples:

  • "Would you mind pressing a few buttons to help people find my music?"
  • "What would it sound like if ____ (Taylor Swift) and ____ (The 1975) made a song together?"
  • "Calling all fans of ____ (Dua Lipa)! This song will be your new obsession, guaranteed."

Don't just promote. Make people want to know more.

Stage 2: Click β†’ Listen

Your landing page matters. Don't just send people to your Spotify profile and hope they find the right song.

Use a deep link (with Linkfire, SubmitHub links or Feature.fm) to send them directly to the song you want them to hear.

Stage 3: Listen β†’ Save

This is where most musicians lose people.

Why? Because the song doesn't grab them in the first 10 seconds.

If your intro is 30 seconds of slow build-up, most people will skip.

Make the first 10 seconds count. Hook them immediately.

Stage 4: Save β†’ Follow

If someone saves your song but doesn't follow you, they might forget about you.

How do you fix this?

Add a call-to-action in your content.

Example: "If you like this song, follow me on Spotify - I'm releasing 3 more songs like this in 2026."

Give them a reason to follow.

Stage 5: Follow β†’ Superfan

This is where the real work happens.

You need to stay in touch with your fans. Not just when you release music.

How?

  • Post regularly on social media (a lot of behind-the-scenes content)
  • Send them to your email list
  • Go live
  • Build a community (Discord, Patreon, Instagram Channel etc.)

Superfans don't come from one song. They come from consistency and connection.

Here's What This Looks Like In Real Life

Let me give you an example.

You run an ad. 1,000 people see it. (View)

100 people click. (Click)

50 people listen to your song. (Listen)

10 people save it. (Save)

5 people follow you. (Follow)

2 people become superfans - they listen to all your songs, add you to their playlists, and keep coming back. (Superfan)

Those 2 superfans are worth more than the 1,000 views.

Because they'll support you for years.

And the best part? You can optimize this funnel.

β†’ If you improve your hook, more people click.

β†’ If you improve your intro, more people save and listen.

β†’ If you give them a reason to follow, more people follow.

That's how you turn 100 views into 10 real fans.

Why Most Musicians Don't Have This Funnel

Because no one teaches you this.

Everyone teaches you how to get more streams. How to get on playlists. How to go viral.

But no one teaches you how to turn those streams into fans.

That's the missing piece.

And that's exactly what I teach in Your First Hit Song 2026.

Inside the program, I show you:

β†’ How to create content that actually converts (not just gets views)

β†’ How to set up ads that bring real fans (not just streams from random countries)

β†’ How to use deep links and landing pages to control the listening experience

β†’ How to build a funnel that turns listeners into superfans

β†’ How to use Spotify as a tool (not the goal)

This isn't just theory. I walk you through it step by step.

Screen share. Showing you exactly how I do it.

The Bottom Line

Spotify is fake. Spotify isn't fake. And Spotify is not the goal.

Spotify is a tool.

And when you use it the right way - when you build a funnel that turns streams into fans - it's one of the most powerful tools you have.

Stop chasing streams. Start building fans.

You got this (:
